Que désire

Soetkin Baptist, Aline Goffin, Bert Candries, Luc Vanden Bosch, Paul Flush

Soetkin Baptist presents Que Désire, following the celebrated performances of Soetkin, Made in France. Delving into the fragile, yet vigorous, established and hidden French Chansons, she never looses sight of its authenticity. Soetkin yearns for the listener to be moved by this beautiful music as deeply as it relates to her.
She is joined by accomplished musicians Aline Goffin on Vocals, Bert Candries on the Guitar and Double Bass, Luc Vanden Bosch on Percussion and Paul Flush on the Piano and Hammond Organ.

Ratas del Viejo Mundo

Ratas del viejo mundo (The rats of the old world) is an international formation that consists of unique voices and instruments from all over Europe.

It brings highly refined profane music to the podia of the biggest concert halls. Ratas del viejo mundo equally honours music from instrumental and oral folk traditions as well as the most respected polyphonic compositions.

Dromen uit het Hoge Noorden

Soetkin Baptist & Annemie Struyf

They met in the High North. Soetkin wrote music there, Annemie wrote a book. Together they tell their story. About the High North, about trial and error, about taking a deep breath and moving on. About hope and desire. About dreaming and daring to dream.

The paths of Annemie and Soetkin crossed when making the reportage series Het Hoge Noorden for TV channel Eén. This special meeting in Norway resulted in a unique, moving and vulnerable story, in words and music. Soetkin sings and plays, Annemie dreams and tells.

Songs For A Heartbreak

Heartbreakingly beautiful.

Everything broken needs a song that heals it again.

Through a heartbreakingly beautiful journey, songs are written in all times, in all forms, in all languages with one purpose only: to heal what needs mending.

In this heartwarming concert, one could say that time heals not. Songs do. Soetkin Baptist (voice),Yegor Shevtsov (piano) and Martin Losvik (visuals) harvested the different colours of heartbreak and the stories surrounding them. Martin Losvik provides both musicians with a warm blanket of ice-cold arctic melancholy with his visuals, pictures, and movies.

The program stretches out over more than 700 years, performed in more than five languages, featuring of Josquin Deprez, Henry Purcell, Benjamin Britten, Maurice Ravel, Kurt Weill, Hans Eisler, Judee Sill, Barbara…
