With nothing more than Voice and Lute, Soetkin Baptist and Jan Van Outryve spellbind their audiences with simplicity and honesty. After a collaboration in Ensemble Graindelavoix, Jan and Soetkin decided to make a production together called Songs With roots (a Zonzo Compagnie production), which became a huge success all over Europe.These Ballades, Lullabies and Carols are little known treasures from Celtic and Nordic cultures that tells everyday life stories, using colourful contrasts to convey its message.
